Thanks a lot to my pops for getting the gas tank off the bike we were able to remove all the parts from the gas cap that exploded inside the tank!  We got every little piece of rubber, screws, and a ball bearing.  The gas tank was put back on and the bike started right up.  Unfortunately no one around here stocks gas caps including Yamaha dealers so I'll have to order one.  But the Yamaha V-Star is back in service!

On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again....
